Her remit involves covering Galway’s vibrant arts scene – its community has played a key role in putting Ireland on the cultural map internationally and she has covered arts in Galway for more than 30 years.
Coming from a farming background, she also has a keen interest in, and regularly covers issues around food production and sustainability. She has charted the success and challenges of an evolving food community, as producers and consumers in the West of Ireland have become increasingly aware of the importance of food provenance and its role in driving the local economy.
