Jack Teeling

The Teeling family have deep roots within the Irish whiskey industry dating back to 1782 when Walter Teeling had a craft distillery in the heart of Dublin City. The Teeling Whiskey Company was founded or reborn by Jack Teeling back in 2012.

Over the last six years it has established itself as the leading and most progressive Irish whiskey producer. Jack and his team have crafted a range of unique, differentiated and multi-award winning Irish whiskey driving the premiumisation of the fast growing Irish whiskey category. Teeling Whiskey is the fastest growing premium Irish whiskey domestically and is now exported to over 60 markets.
Jack opened the new Teeling Whiskey Distillery in 2015. Located in Newmarket in the Liberties it’s only a stone’s throw away from where his family first made their mark on the industry back in 1782 and is the first new distillery in Dublin for over 125 years. A fully operational distillery it also hosts a visitor experience and since opening has welcomed over 250,000 people through its doors and won the accolade as World’s Best Whiskey Visitor Attraction.

Jack was recently honoured as the Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017 as well as the Icons of Whiskey World Ambassador of the Year in 2015 for his work in helping develop the Irish whiskey category.

Jack is married to Katharine and lives in Dublin, Ireland with their three daughters, Alison (8), Natalie (6) and Rebecca (4). The three pot stills in the Teeling Whiskey Distillery are named after Jacks three daughters and are on show to all visitors to their experience. Jack has a BComm and MSc in Finance from UCD and a MSc in International Business from TCD.
