Dearbhaill Standún

Dearbhaill Standún is co-founder and co-owner of Cnoc Suain, an international award-winning cultural retreat near An Spidéal in the Conamara Gaeltacht. A qualified teacher, a native Gaelic speaker and a member of the Irish traditional & Baroque music group ‘Dordán’, Dearbhaill is also a graduate of Ballymaloe Cookery School.

Since her early days, tourism has been an integral part of Dearbhaill’s life – from helping in her parent’s hand-knitwear & craft store in An Spidéal, to entertaining at Bunratty & Dunguaire Castle banquets, to her current role, as curator and presenter of place-based interactive cultural experiences at Cnoc Suain.
