Brian has 17 years’ experience in sales, marketing and strategic consultancy and is fully versed in all areas of business strategy & marketing communications. An energetic self-starter. As Marketing, Sales & Reservations manager for the Shannon Heritage group Brian is am responsible for all sales & marketing activity of Shannon Heritages 7 visitor attraction portfolio.
Brian’s previous role as Commercial Manager for Athlone Institute of Technology. Brian negotiated commercial partnerships with Athletics Ireland, Triathlon Ireland, The Irish Defence Forces, The Community Games, the FAI the GAA plus project management & development of new AIT Sport’s €12 million euro Athletic Arena, website, parking commercialisation, nurturing and delivery of AIT’s new sports science offering and teaching contract tenders for a landmark Saudi Arabian education project.
Brian has also provided consultancy services to Triathlon Ireland, the national governing body of the sport, having responsibility for delivering sponsorship and commercial arrangements for the national governing body.
Previous roles include-
*Brand manager of Connacht Rugby which involved management of all aspects of the marketing mix, liaising with external agencies and planning of brand activation for our sponsors and competition rights holders, ERC and Rabo Direct Pro 12.
*Marketing Manager for the BBC’s Top Gear Festival- attracting 34,000 people to Citywest Hotel.
*Commercial manager of the Irish Tag Rugby Association/Alive Outside Adventure Sports.
* Red Bull -on- trade manager & Noreast Beers- Regional manager.
